Pillar 02 · WDG(JR+) job redesign

Redesign jobs with 70% funding.

The SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+), or WDG(JR+), funds 70% of a job redesign project for SMEs and 50% for non-SMEs. Once the redesign is done, staff who move into the redesigned roles can be invited to apply for CCP salary support.

01 · Key facts

What WDG(JR+) is, in four lines.

  • A new grant. The SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+) launched in March 2026 under the Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package. It replaces the job redesign support previously offered under PSG-JR.
  • 70% for SMEs, 50% for non-SMEs. Capped at $150,000 per enterprise across three scopes.
  • Nett fee model. You pay only your 30% share. The grant is paid to the consultant on milestones, so you don’t pay in full and then wait to claim.
  • SFEC helps further. The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) can offset 90% of your Scope 1 nett fee.
02 · Three scopes

Three scopes, capped at $150,000 in total.

Scope 1 · capped at $50,000

Workforce Consultancy

Our core service. We map each role against the Jobs Transformation Map, redesign the tasks and job scope, and write the new job descriptions and training plans.

Scope 2 · capped at $60,000

Capability Building

Builds manager and HR capability to support the redesigned roles.

Scope 3 · capped at $90,000

Workforce Tech Solutions

Technology that enables the redesign, such as AI and automation. It must be paired with Scope 1 or Scope 2.

03 · Who qualifies

Eligibility, and the timing rule.

  • Registered in Singapore, with at least 3 local employees.
  • Timing matters. You must not sign or pay for the consultancy before the grant application is submitted.
  • All funding is subject to eligibility and approval. We check your position in the discovery call before anything is submitted.
04 · Redesign, then salary support

Redesign the job, then apply for CCP salary support.

WDG(JR+) funds the redesign

Scope 1 pays for the job redesign itself: the role mapping, the redesigned job scopes and the training plans.

CCP funds the salary support

Once Scope 1 is complete, staff with at least 12 months’ service who move into the redesigned roles can be invited to apply for CCP salary support: 3 months at 70% or 90% of monthly salary, subject to eligibility and approval. Salary support is paid under CCP, not by WDG(JR+).

05 · Worked example

What a 3-role redesign can look like.

Worked example · an SME redesigning 3 roles

ItemAmount
Scope 1 workforce consultancy, 3 roles at $10,000 per role$30,000
Grant at the SME rate of 70%$21,000
Your nett fee (30%)$9,000
You pay after SFEC offsets 90% of the nett fee$900
Potential CCP salary support for the 3 redesigned staff$57,600

Assumes Scope 1 priced at $10,000 per role with a minimum of 3 roles, funded at the SME rate of 70% (non-SMEs 50%); sufficient SFEC balance to offset 90% of the nett fee; and 3 redesigned staff, two aged 40 and above at the $7,500 monthly cap and one under 40 earning $6,000, each supported for 3 months under the Career Conversion Programme. All figures are illustrative and all funding is subject to eligibility and approval.

06 · How it runs

Six steps from discovery call to milestone claims.

  1. Free discovery call. We learn how the work is changing and which roles it touches.

  2. Eligibility check and scoping. We confirm eligibility and scope at least 3 roles.

  3. Grant application. Submitted before anything is signed or paid.

  4. Workforce consultancy. We map each role against the Jobs Transformation Map, redesign the tasks and job scope, and write the new job descriptions and training plans.

  5. Staff move into the redesigned roles. We prepare their CCP applications.

  6. Milestone claims. The grant is paid on milestones, and you pay only your share.

07 · Two ways to use it

Job redesign on its own, or with AI.

Option A

Scope 1 only

Redesign the roles, and set up the redesigned staff to be invited to apply for CCP salary support. A complete project on its own.

Option B

Scope 1 plus Scope 3

For companies ready for real AI transformation: redesign the roles and put the AI or automation in place together, both 70% funded for SMEs.
