Pillar 01 · Career Conversion Programme

Salary support for new hires and existing staff.

The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) funds 70% of monthly salary, or 90% for staff aged 40 and above or long-term unemployed, while your people train into a new role. We find the right Programme Pathway, prepare the application and training plan, and support you through approval and claims.

For Singapore-registered employers hiring or reskilling Singapore Citizens and PRs.

01 · Two routes

New hire or existing staff: pick your route.

Route A

New hires

For staff joining soon, or who joined in the last 3 months, converting into a role under one of the Programme Pathways. Salary support runs for at least 3 months, depending on the pathway:

  • Most pathways: 6 months
  • HR: 4 months
  • Overseas markets: 9 months
  • Biomedical: 12 months
  • Different Job Scope: 3 months
Route B

Existing staff

For staff with at least 12 months’ service who are reskilled into a redesigned role, under any Programme Pathway except Different Job Scope, which is for new hires only.

Salary support is typically 3 months.

The job redesign itself can be done and funded under WDG(JR+) Scope 1, with the redesigned staff then invited to apply for CCP.

03 · Eligibility

  • The staff member is a Singapore Citizen or PR.
  • Monthly salary meets the pathway minimum, commonly $3,500. Each pathway’s minimum is listed on Programme Pathways.
  • Fresh graduates are not eligible.
  • Existing staff need at least 12 months’ service.
  • New hires are applied for within 3 months of their start date.
04 · What we do

We handle CCP end to end.

  1. Find the right pathway. We match the role and the person to the Programme Pathway that fits.

  2. Check eligibility. Citizenship, salary, service length and the change in job scope, before you commit.

  3. Prepare the application and training plan. The application pack and the on-the-job training plan the role needs.

  4. Manage queries through to approval. We handle clarifications so your team is not chasing them.

  5. Support the salary support claims. We help you put the claim evidence together once training is complete.

05 · Programme Pathways

Find the pathway that fits the role.

Each Programme Pathway has its own minimum salary, support duration and typical roles. The Programme Pathways reference lists them side by side, including the support available for existing staff.
