AI Transformation · 70% funded under WDG(JR+)

Automate the work. Elevate the jobs. 70% funded.

We find the workflows where AI pays off. Our tech team builds and deploys the solution, and we redesign the roles around it so your team runs it with confidence. Staff whose roles are redesigned can also be invited to apply for CCP salary support.

01 · Our point of view

AI transformation is a work redesign project, not a software purchase

Most AI pilots stall. A widely cited 2025 MIT study found that 95% of the organisations it studied were getting no measurable return from generative AI, and it pointed to how the tools were fitted into daily work, not to the AI models themselves.

The technology is ready. What is usually missing is a clear workflow, clean data, an owner, and a team that has been trained and given a reason to use it. So we start with the work, not the tool, and we redesign the job alongside the workflow. That is exactly how WDG(JR+) is built: AI projects (Scope 3) are funded together with job redesign (Scope 1).

01

Start with the workflow.

We map where the hours go before choosing any tool.

02

People stay in charge.

AI drafts, checks and routes. Your people approve anything that touches a customer, money or compliance.

03

Measure from day one.

We set a baseline for hours, turnaround time and error rate, so you can see the return.

02 · The AI building blocks

What AI can actually do in your business

Almost every use case is built from a handful of capabilities. Once you know them, it becomes easier to spot opportunities in your own workflows.

01

Document AI

Reads invoices, purchase orders, delivery orders, contracts and forms, and turns them into clean data in your systems.

Example: supplier invoices are matched to POs and delivery orders automatically, and only mismatches go to a person.

02

Knowledge assistants

Answers questions from your own SOPs, product specs, past proposals and policies, with a link to the source. The technical name is retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

Example: a new sales executive asks “what did we quote this customer last year?” and gets the answer straight away.

03

AI agents

Carries out multi-step tasks across your tools, then pauses for a person to approve.

Example: an RFQ email arrives, and the agent checks stock and pricing, drafts the quotation, and updates the CRM, leaving the quote waiting for approval.

04

Conversational and voice AI

Handles enquiries on WhatsApp, web chat, email or phone around the clock, and hands complex cases to your team.

Example: after-hours bookings and order status questions answered instantly.

05

Generative content

Writes first drafts of proposals, tender responses, reports, product descriptions, job ads and marketing content in your brand voice.

06

Forecasting and optimisation

Predicts demand, cash flow and manpower needs, and builds rosters, routes and schedules.

07

Computer vision

Inspects products for defects, reads site photos for progress and safety, and counts stock from images.

08

Ask-your-data analytics

Managers ask questions in plain English, such as “which customers ordered less this quarter?”, and get answers and charts from their own data.

03 · By industry

What this looks like in your industry

Wholesale and distribution

  • Quotations from RFQs: AI reads emailed or WhatsApp enquiries, pulls pricing and stock, and drafts the quote for approval.

04 · How jobs change

Every AI project redesigns jobs. We plan for it.

AI rarely replaces a whole role. It takes over tasks. Singapore’s Jobs Transformation Maps, such as the one on generative AI in financial services, describe two patterns. In some roles, people ‘do more’ of their existing work in the same time. In others, they ‘do more and do new’, taking on new tasks once routine work moves to AI.

We map every affected role against the relevant Jobs Transformation Map, redesign the job scope, and train your people for it. Each AI workflow also gets a named owner inside your team, who checks output quality, keeps the knowledge base current and handles escalations. That redesign is funded under WDG(JR+) Scope 1, and staff who move into the redesigned roles can then be invited to apply for CCP salary support.

Illustrative. Actual redesign depends on your workflows.

05 · How we run it

How we run an AI transformation

  1. Discover. A free discovery call, then a walk-through of your workflows: where the hours go, volumes, pain points and the systems you use.

  2. Prioritise. We score each candidate workflow on value, feasibility, data readiness and risk, then pick the first one to three.

  3. Design. We map the future workflow, decide where people approve, and set success measures against a baseline.

  4. Build and integrate. Our tech team builds the solution, connects it to the tools you already use (email, WhatsApp, accounting software, CRM, ERP, shared drives), and tests it on your real data.

  5. Redesign and train. We redesign the job scopes and SOPs under Scope 1. Hands-on team training is included under Scope 3.

  6. Go live, measure, scale. We track results against the baseline and fine-tune, then move on to the next workflow.

The WDG(JR+) application is submitted after scoping and before anything is signed or paid.

06 · Responsible AI

Safe, compliant and in your control

  • Human in the loop. AI drafts and recommends. Your people approve anything involving customers, money or compliance.
  • Your data stays yours. Each workflow gets access only to the data it needs. Tools are configured so your data is not used to train public AI models, wherever the platform allows it.
  • PDPA-aware design. Personal data is handled in line with the PDPA and the PDPC’s Advisory Guidelines on Use of Personal Data in AI Recommendation and Decision Systems.
  • Built on Singapore’s AI governance principles. Our approach follows IMDA’s Model AI Governance Framework, including the Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI launched in January 2026. That means bounded permissions, audit trails and clear human accountability.
  • Data readiness first. We check the quality of your data before building, because messy data is one of the most common reasons AI pilots stall.
07 · Funding and the numbers

How the funding adds up.

  • Funded under WDG(JR+) Scope 3, Workforce Tech Solutions: 70% for SMEs and 50% for non-SMEs, capped at $90,000. It is always paired with Scope 1 job redesign.
  • AI and automation projects that change how work gets done can qualify, not only HR tech.
  • Our tech team designs, builds and deploys the solution and trains your team to run it. Training is included.
  • BizGrants handles the Scope 1 job redesign and the grant application end to end.
70%project funding for SMEs
3 monthsof CCP salary support (70% or 90%) for redesigned staff, subject to eligibility and approval
30%is all you pay, under the nett fee model
$150,000cap per enterprise across all scopes

How it adds up · example: 3 staff, SME

ItemCostYou pay
AI project, incl. team training$60,000$18,000
Job redesign, 3 roles$30,000$900 after SFEC
Total you pay$18,900
Potential CCP salary support$57,600

If approved, the salary support more than covers your share.

Assumes an AI project costing $60,000 and a job redesign of 3 roles at $10,000 each, both funded at the SME rate of 70% (non-SMEs 50%); sufficient SFEC balance to offset 90% of the job redesign nett fee; and 3 redesigned staff, two aged 40 and above at the $7,500 monthly cap and one under 40 earning $6,000, each supported for 3 months. Salary support is paid under the Career Conversion Programme: 70% of monthly salary, or 90% for staff aged 40 and above or long-term unemployed, subject to monthly caps, for Singapore Citizens or PRs earning at least the pathway minimum (commonly $3,500 a month) with at least 12 months’ service. All figures are illustrative and all funding is subject to eligibility and approval.

09 · Common questions

AI transformation questions employers ask.

What AI projects qualify?

AI and automation projects that change how work gets done, not only HR tech. We scope it with you in the discovery call, and all funding is subject to eligibility and approval.

What is agentic AI?

AI that carries out a sequence of steps across your tools instead of just answering a question. For example, it can read an enquiry, check stock, draft a quote and update your CRM, with a person approving the final step.

Who builds it?

Our tech team builds and deploys it, and trains your team to run it.

Do I also need a job redesign?

Yes. Scope 3 has to be paired with Scope 1 or Scope 2. We pair it with Scope 1 job redesign, and staff who move into the redesigned roles can then be invited to apply for CCP salary support.

Will AI replace my staff?

In most SME workflows, AI takes over tasks, not whole jobs. We redesign roles so your people move to higher-value work, and staff in the redesigned roles can be invited to apply for CCP salary support.

Do we need clean data or an IT team first?

You don’t need an IT team. We check data readiness during discovery, and if your data needs tidying, that becomes part of the scope.

Will it work with our existing software?

Usually, yes. Solutions connect to the tools you already use, such as email, WhatsApp, accounting software, your CRM and shared drives.

Is our data safe?

Your people approve anything involving customers, money or compliance, and each workflow only gets access to the data it needs. We design in line with the PDPA and Singapore’s AI governance frameworks, and configure tools so your data is not used to train public AI models wherever the platform allows it.

What will it cost me?

Your 30% share. See the worked example on this page.

How is this different from buying an off-the-shelf AI tool?

Off-the-shelf tools are good for general productivity. WDG(JR+) Scope 3 funds a solution customised to your workflows, with team training included, paired with job redesign.

Can AI spending also qualify for tax benefits?

Budget 2026 added qualifying AI expenditure to the Enterprise Innovation Scheme: a 400% tax deduction on up to $50,000 of qualifying AI spend per Year of Assessment, for YA 2027 and YA 2028. Spending already funded by a government grant, such as the share covered by WDG(JR+), does not qualify, because the same cost cannot be funded twice. Check eligibility with your tax adviser.
