Common Pitfalls in CCP Applications and How to Avoid Rejection

Many CCP applications fail for avoidable reasons. Even well intentioned employers can miss details that matter to Workforce Singapore. Here are the issues we see most frequently, and how to avoid them.

Top 7 reasons CCP applications are rejected

  1. Incomplete documents. Missing NRIC copies, ACRA, contracts or required declaration forms.
  2. Generic job descriptions. Roles do not clearly show the new responsibilities or tools.
  3. Weak OJT plan. Vague learning objectives, no clear milestones, or reliance on “shadowing” only.
  4. Limited scope change. For existing staff, the job change is less than 50%.
  5. Ineligible staff. Shareholders, immediate family of directors, or previously funded for the same role.
  6. Slow responses. Employers take too long to reply to clarifications.
  7. Poor follow through. OJT is not carried out as stated, which may affect claims or future applications.
